| Chamber resents renting out of Parade Ground | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 12- Satish Gupta, Secretary General Chamber of Commerce and Industry has strongly condemned the un-wisely practice of Jammu Municipal Corporation for frequently renting out Parade Ground Jammu for Commercial purposes. He deplored that in the walled city of Jammu there is practically no playground for the children other than Parade Ground which had the prestigious Shri Ranbir Higher Secondary School, Central Basic School, SD Sabha School besides Jain School as its neighbourers where thousands of students study.
‘It is very shocking and surprising that when the Central and the State Government spends crores of rupees to promote and encourage sports our Municipal Corporation is depriving our young buds of playing facilities by renting out Parade Ground’, he lamented.
He said that it is high time that wisdom dawns upon those running the Jammu Municipal Corporation of havoc they have committed with the Children by their act and stop forth with this practice of renting out Parade Ground Jammu. ‘Let them realize that in this era nations are known by the sportsmen / Women they produce and not by their militarily might. We have great potential and given chance and proper playing facilities they can work wonder’, he added.
