| Michar Front demands opening of public grievance cells | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 12-Expressing deep anguish over the silence of the state government towards the genuine demands of the people of Doda district General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Milchar Front, Kuldeep Kumar Rao has urged the Chief Minister to set up grievance cell in the district and issue a white paper about the funds provided for the development of tourist spots in the district. The Front has also expressed its grave concern over non representation to the district in the state cabinet and forcefully pleaded for induction of former Minister Mohammed Sharief Niaz in the council of ministers. Rao alleged urged that government was busy in getting huge funds from the center, out of which just a fraction is utilized for the public and rest goes into the pockets of the leaders and functionaries of the government. He sought Chief Minister’s intervention in setting up public grievance units in the District for getting first hand knowledge about the grave and urgent demands of the public. ‘The corrupt practices are at its peak’, he alleged and urged the Finance Ministry to issue a white paper in respect of funds received and utilized so that general public could come to know of it and also transparency was ensured in the process.
