| AIKS gives final shape to Nov 15 conclave | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 12- The AIKS working group Jammu in an emergent meeting held under the chairmanship of Dr .UshaTickoo Co-convener gave final shape to the participation of Jammu delegates in AIKS conclave being held in Delhi on November 15, 2009. Dr.Usha informed that it is for the first time that AIKS affiliates from allover India and abroad, apart from representatives of major organizations, will be participating in this Conclave. The main focus of the Conclave is to provide political empowerment of the Kashmiri Pandit community amidst its growing marginalization from mainstream political life of Kashmir. ‘The burning desire for having a legitimate political space in the Kashmir valley constitutes an important component of the empowerment that we are asking for’, she said. C.L.Sadhu senior leader of AIKS said that the burning issues of the community will be highlighted which will make the Conclave a very meaningful exercise. He also said that something concrete regarding the return and rehabilitation of K.P's will come out from the one day conclave. Virender Kuchroo while giving the details informed that the children selected in the talent hunt from refugee camps of Jammu will participate in the cultural session of the conclave also. Eminent bolly-wood singer Suhail Koul, renowned singer Dananjay Koul and many film personalities will also grace the occasion by their presentation. Priya Raina who was the star attraction in the national talent hunt program on "Colours" recently will also perform on the stage. Ashok Bhat the Yatra coordinator from Jammu informed that 100 delegates from Jammu comprising 10 teams from all the migrant camps, non camps areas and from Doda Kishtwar will proceed from Jammu to Delhi to be a part of the program. A special delegation of employees’ forum led by A.J.Nehru will participate in the program to highlight the problems of the displaced employees. Among others J.L.Pandita, Aryan Ramesh and Ashokji were also present.
