| PK smells overtures to settle Kashmir issue secretely | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 12- PANUN KASHMIR at its meeting has viewed with serious concern the political developments aimed at hastening the process of 'some settlement' of the Kashmir issue. It has also taken serious note of the delay in the implementation of the Prime Minister’s employment package for the displaced youth of the community. The Panun Kashmir said that these statements emanate from the political figures of the State and the Centre point towards some kind of secret understanding having been entered with secessionist, semi-secessionist elements and Pakistan. The recent statement of Chief Minister that passports would be issued to the members of the Hurriyat to visit Pakistan is a serious development. The recent visit of the leader of the Hurriyat Conference to US on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York and allowing him free hand to mobilize opinion for the passage of an anti-India resolution in the OIC Summit is highly regrettable, it added. The main line political parties have hyped their rhetoric that the resumption of composite dialogue with Pakistan is necessary for the settlement of the so-called Kashmir dispute. This is completely at variance with government of India's stand that unless Pakistan seriously dismantles the terrorist infrastructure directed towards India, there can be no composite dialogue. The resumption of the composite dialogue seems to be a ploy to bail out Pakistan from its beleaguered political and security scenario without any guarantees in return that all terrorist training camps on the soil of Pakistan and directed towards India would be demolished, the PK said. The PK has said that the reports appearing in the media regarding some suggestions about the restructuring of the organization are baseless and misleading. It maintained that PANUN KASHMIR is committed to safeguard the ideological and political frontiers of the Kashmiri Pandit political movement and would be guided by the unanimous and historic Resolution passed by the General House on 7th June 2009. We are also committed to the modalities of unity which were approved by the House unanimously and can not be guided by any extra-organizational elements. The structures of P ANUN KASHMIR are performing their duties and all office bearers and members are responding to the challenges that confront us on day to day basis To maintain high standards of morality and accountability in public life PK has decided to form a Constitution Drafting Committee headed by Prof. H.L.Jalali, Vice President. It has also been decided to constitute an Audit Committee headed by Shri A.K.Machama, veteran Senior Audit Officer of the State with immediate effect. Both the committees have been requested to forward their reports by one-two month's time. The meeting among others was attended by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Prof. M.L.Raina, Chairman, Political Affairs Committee, Virender Raina, National Spokesperson Prof. H.L.Jalali, Vice President J.L.Kaul, Vice President and Mohini Raina, Chairperson, DOPK
