| AEE suspended in Khour | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Nov 13: An Assistant Executive Engineer of Roads and Buildings Department was today placed under suspension on allegations of using sub-standard material in macadamisation of a road in Khour block falling in the assembly constituency of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand.
The action was taken by Roads and Buildings Minister GM Saroori who was today traveling to the border constituency along with the Deputy Chief Minister.
The Minister asked the concerned Superintending Engineer(SE) to collect the samples of the material used for the macadamization and get its laboratory analysis and report within three days.
Saroori also instructed the SE to get the work re-done by the concerned engineer at his own cost. He asked SE to black list the contractor and stop the payment till the contractor completes the assigned work.
The Minister also ordered constitution of a team headed by the SE to check whether the standards have been adopted in macadamization of all the roads in Khour and other blocks of the Jammu.
