Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 13: A two day theatre festival for children’s organized by Samooh theatre was jointly inaugurated by Director School Education, Zahida Parveen Khan and secretary J&K academy of art, culture and languages Zaffar Iqbal Mahnas at Abhinav theatre here today. While addressing Zahida said Samooh theatre is not working only for the promotion of theatre but education too. All the plays which were presented have moral values which is the need of the hour for the present generation. Zaffar in his address congratulated the director Samooh Dr. Sudhir Mahajan for organizing such a first ever children theatre festival and also appreciated the work of Samooh Theatre especially for the children. Five plays were performed by the different schools of the slum, rural and urban areas and mesmerized the audiences. This is the first of its kind that has been organized by Samooh Theatre in J&K State in which 5 children plays were staged like Bobby, Directed by Ravinder Sharma, Vasundhara, Beti Aai Hain, Andher Nagri, Directed by Dr. Sudhir Mahajan. Play staged during the first day of festival were Bobby, Mein Nadi Aansoo Bhari, Beti Aaai Hai, Andher Nagri, etc. Children who took part in the play were Nazia Akhter, Manesh Kumari, Pooja Kumari, Monika Devi, Kajal Kumari, Mussrat Zaba, Nisha Kumari, Teena Kumari, Madhu Kumari, Monika Kumari, Anu Radha, Sheetal Sharma, Shivani Kumari, Shakti Kumari, Pooja Kumari, Varsha Devi, Minisha Sagotra, Bharti Kumari, Minisha Kumari, Neesha Devi, Shallu Kumari, Sonia Kumari, Kajol Kumari etc.
