| Annual sports meet concludes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 13- The annual week long Sports Meet concluded with the celebration of Children’s Day, at Model Academy here today.
The Sports events were primarily organized for the Junior Wing of the school in which more than 200 students of both the B.C Road and Residency Road branch participated. Events were also organized between students and teachers to develop better relations between them.
At this event over 50 teacher trainees from the college of education were also involved actively in organizing and conducting these activities. They were exposed to the actual environment during this event to increase their sports and cultural skills and provided them training in terms of internship experience.
After sports competition, 350 Gold, Silver & Bronze medals were awarded to students and staff for securing first, second and third position respectively in the matches. While distributing the medals, Dr. Adit Gupta and Rupa Gupta praised the participants and further motivated them to excel in other mega events of sports at State, National and International Level.
Dr. Adit Gupta applauded the efforts of Usha Chunni, sports and cultural incharge for MIER for crafting and supervising the sports event in a triumphant manner with the support of Arti Choudhary and other staff members. On this occasion a special thanks was conveyed to all the media agencies for their excellent coverage of the events in the last one week. Vote of thanks was presented by Poonam Gupta.
