| DFP organizes symposiums on ‘women empowerment’ | | |

Poonch, Nov 14: With a view to create awareness about various schemes in social sector under national flagship programme, the field publicity units, Poonch and Rajouri, of ministry of information and broadcasting, organized symposium on ‘women empowerment’ at government high school, Jhulhas, the border village near line of control (LoC) The headmaster of the school, Raj Kour presided over the function Nargis, Swaran Chander and Jehangir Iqbal were adjudged best three participants in the competition. On this occasion, a photo exhibition, designed by directorate of field publicity, entitled ‘Healthy mother and healthy child- A key to success’ was also organized. The unit of DFP organized another symposium at Shindra village, first of its kind, by covering over 6kms to and fro on foot to reach this remote and inaccessible area and it was another achievement of the day. The students and staff members of government higher secondary school, Shindra were seen jubiliant to witness such an interactive and impressive programme entitled ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan- A key for overall development’. The girl students outnumbered boy students while participating in the symposium.
