| HC stays frequent transfer of JE RDD | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov14-Jammu and Kashmir High Court today stayed the operation of transfer order of a Junior Engineer Rural Development Department who was transferred twice in a month.
After hearing the counsel for the petition, Justice JP Singh issued notice to respondents and ordered in the meanwhile petitioner’s transfer to Block Marwah ordered by Director RDD Jammu dated November 3, 2009 shall remain stayed for a period of three weeks.
Mohammed Parvez Junior Engineer in RDD in his petition submitted that vide order dated August 5, 2009 he was transferred from Block Thatri to Block Ballessa. He was relieved by the BDO Thatri on October 6, 2009 and joined his new place of posting on October 7, 2009. While the petitioner was performing his duties in Block Ballessa all of a sudden and without reasonable cause an order was issued by Director Rural Development Jammu on November 3, 2009 whereby the petitioner was shown to have been transferred from Block Thatri to Block Marwah when the fact remains that the petitioner had already been transferred from Block Thatri to Block Ballessa on August 5, 2009 issued by Assistant Development Commissioner Doda. The petitioner through Advocate Irfaan Mohammed Khan challenged the order of Director Rural Development and prayed for issuance of direction to the respondents not to disturb the petitioner from the present place of posting Block Ballessa where the petitioner has already joined on October 7, 2009.
