| Women educated about employment, education schemes | | | Early Times report
Doda, Nov15- Jammu and Kashmir government has introduced number of schemes where women can get loan facilities on marginal interest rates for undertaking education and self employment opportunities. This was disclosed in an awareness camp organized by Saffron Valley Development Society (SVDS) at Binoon Gandoh area of Doda district.
Sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Women Development Corporation, the awareness camp was organized in order to educate women folk about the self-employment avenues available in the state.
The society members educated women participants about the need to take benefit of self employment schemes of the government. The participants were apprised of the loaning schemes including NMDFC, NBCFDC and NHFDC available with the Corporation.
The participants were apprised about the new schemes recently introduced by the Women Development Corporation under which the militancy hit victims and handicapped women can start their own income generating units with the help of the corporation which provides loan on nominal interest rates.
