| Shabir visits JK stall at ITF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, November 16- Minister of State for Power, Mr. Shabir Ahmed Khan, today visited Pargati Maidan, New Delhi and inspected the stalls set up by J&K Government in International Trade Fair. The Minister went round each stall and interacted with stall holders.
Interacting with the visitors, the Minister said that J&K Government is making every effort to promote art and craft of the State, which he said is unique and exquisitely beautiful. He said craftsmen of all the three regions of the state have rich talent in handicrafts and handlooms which needs to be promoted at national and global level by showcasing it through trade fairs.
The Minister said that the State Government, with the liberal financial assistance of the Centre has launched various innovative schemes for local artisans of the state to set up their units in traditional domestic handicrafts and handlooms, saying that handicrafts forms the core sector of the state economy.
