UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 04 -Under Revised National Tuberculosis Control (RNTCP) and National Leprosy Elimination programme, the District Tuberculosis Control Society, Udhampur organized awareness programmes in the premises of Shivalik College of Education, Udhampur yesterday.
The District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. O. P. Kalandria was the chief guest on the occasion.
State TB Officer, Dr.T. R. Sharma, World Helth Consultant, RNTCP, Dr. Sanjay Alok, Chief Medical Officer, Udhampur, Mr. Yogeshwar Gupta, District Tuberculosis Officer, Mr. M.H. Malik, District Education and Planning Officer, Udhampur, Mr. Dina Nath and Medical Officer. Leprosy were present on the occasion.
District Tuberculosis Control Officer, Udhampur while giving a detail of activities launched in the district to cure and prevent TB disease said that 6083 sputum tests have been undertaken in the district during one year, out of which 442 tests detected as positive.
