| MLC asks for immediate fertilizer supply to Sunderbani areas | | |

Jammu Nov 17: PCC General Secretary & Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma-MLC has asked the concerned agencies of the government to immediately arrange supplies of fertilizer to the farmers of Sunderbani and Nowshera area of district Rajouri.
Sharma was who visited the two tehsils and held meetings with the party workers and farmers of the area, was apprised of non-availability of DAP and other fertilizer in the belt.
‘The sowing season for wheat and other crops is at its peak and the farmers are expressing great resentment on this count, he said. The Member Legislative Council telephonically brought the matter to the notice of Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir and Registrar Cooperatives who assured him that required quality of fertilizer shall be made available in a couple of days and those dealers who have deposited the amount with the JAKFED and Agro-Industries etc. should approach the respective agencies in this regard.
The locals also raised various issues of public regarding PHE Schemes, problems on account of Power shortage and need for opening and upgradation of schools and various other related issues regarding of list Below Poverty Level (BPL), non-issuance of ration to the nomadics and slow pace of work on various developmental activities.
He also asked the workers to gear up for the forth coming elections to the Panchayats and Municipal Bodies, so that genuine persons are elected to these institutions |
