| 2 killed, 5 injured in road mishaps | | |

Srinagar Nov 17: Two persons died and five others including a lady constable were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley, police said.
Police reports said one truck bearing registration number JK03/7019 driven by Ashiq Hussain Dar son of Abdul Gani resident of Uran Hall Bijbehara hit one Alto car bearing registration number JK01M/2700 at Nipora, Kulgam Qazigund, resulting in injuries to four passengers boarded in Alto. Among the injured one Harbachan Singh succumbed at district hospital Anantnag. Rest of the injured were shifted to SMHS Srinagar for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
During the intervening night of 16/17.11.2009 an accident took place near Highgam crossing one unidentified vehicle hit Firdous Ahmed Shah resident of Buchor Pattan who got critically injured. Injured succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital. Police has registered a case in this regard.
One Maruti car bearing registration number JKU/0839 hit and injured a boy namely Saddam Hussain Khan resident of Reasi at present Danew at Danew Kulgam. Injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK02U/9154 driven by Farooq Ahmad Wani resident of Khurhama Ganderbal hit and injured a lady constable namely Zahida, posted in District Police Office Ganderbal. Injured was shifted to sub- district hospital Ganderbal for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard. |
