Shrivastva had today rushed in to Jammu to pay homage to the martyred Deputy Inspector General of BSF OP Tanwar who was killed in an IED explosion in Ramgarh sector near here yesterday.
The DG BSF felt that there may be be surge in the infiltration bids from across the International border with Pakistan and along the line of control in Jammu and Kashmir before the snow closes the mountain passes.
"We have inputs from different sources about the presence of large groups of militants waiting to infiltrate inside the Indian territory from along the line of control and the International border with Pakistan", DG BSF Raman Srivastava said while talking to reporters at BSF Headquartrers in Paloura camp.
"The entire International border with Pakistan and the line of control is alerted, BSF officer said adding, “we are on the job and an appropriate action will be taken to prevent fresh infiltration.’

"It is nothing new the Pakistan always deny its role and this time also they have denied such reports", he added.
