Jammu November 18- A meeting of Petition Committee of Legislative Assembly was held under the chairmanship of MLA, Mr. Ashok Khajuria, here today.
Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan, Mr. Jugal Kishore, Mr. Bharat Bhushan, Mr. Abdul Razak Wagay, legislators, besides Secretary Legislative Assembly, Mr. M. Ramzan, Special Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, Director Agriculture, Jammu and other senior officers of Agriculture Production department and Assembly Secretariat including Additional Secretary, Mr. G.N. Mir attended the meeting.
The meeting held threadbare discussion on various issues and deliberated upon the issue of payment of wages to the casual labours of Union of Government S. M. Farm, Chinore.
The officers of Agriculture Department informed the Committee that the wages of the casual labourers stand already paid.
The Committee also decided to undertake the study tour of Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Goa in the 1st week of January next year.
