Jammu, Nov 18: The former director of SFRI of J&K state Dr. CM Seth has been appointed as member of the Research Advisory Group (RAG) of Himalayan forest research institute, Shimla.
As per the constitution of the ICFRE an eminent forester outside the ICFRE is nominated as one of the members in the RAG. Dr. Seth who recently superannuated as chairman of pollution control board, J&K was also engaged as environment consultant in SASB. Being an expert in forestry and wildlife he is already member of several national and international groups and presented technical papers in many conferences.
The J&K government included him in state wildlife board as one of the member to advice the government on all matters related to wildlife conservation and management.
Dr. Seth has also been invited by the Thapar university, Patiala for presenting a paper on liquid and solid waste management during Amarnath Yatra in the national workshop on “Health and Environment” HEPAP-09 being held on 26th and 27th November, 2009.
