| Shastri urges to release July DA before Eid-ul-Zuha | | | Early Time Report Jammu, Nov 18: President of the National Mazdoor Conference, Subash Shastri has appealed the chief minister Omar Abdullah and finance minister AR Rather to release the pending installment of DA @ 5% due from July last in favour of the state government employees and pensioners before Eid-ul-Zuha. In memorandums, submitted to CM and Rather, Shastri said that since the central government and most of the states have extended this benefit to their employees and pensioners, the Jammu and Kashmir government should also take a positive steps on this issue well before the coming Eid festival. He said prices of all essential commodities particularly of the daily use are sky rocketing adding to the economic hardships to the salaried class and releasing of the July DA installment would provide some relief to them. Appreciating the decision taken by the chief minister to address demands of different section of employees including extending the benefit of 6th pay commission, Shastri hoped that the pay anomalies of various categories of the employees would also be removed at the earliest as per the commitment made with the clerical staff. As per press release in the memorandums include release of remuneration of motivators working in the IWDP by implementing the court decision, regularization of all daily wagers and issuance of regularization orders of 180 daily wagers of rural development department and conversion of causal labour into TDLs/ PDLs.
