| Mann for pre-1953 status to J&K | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 18: Prominent Sikh leader and President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann today suggested the restoration of pre-1953 position to the state before initiation of any dialogue with Kashmiris.
"Quiet diplomacy is a trap and whosoever falls in this trap will get eliminated from the political scene of Kashmir..
whether the person belongs to separatist camp or mainstream," Mann told a meeting of intellectuals, religious and political leaders here.
Supporting restoration of pre-1953 status to Kashmir, Mann said the position should be restored before initiation of any talks aimed at resolution of Kashmir issue.
Mann arrived here this morning and met several senior separatist leaders including chairman of hardline faction of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
