| Un-Employed agricultural technocrats holds rally | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu October 4 The un-employed Agricultural Technocrats who are on fast for the past 15 days took out a rally in front of Divisional Commissioner Office demanding their absorption in the government service under the Rehbar-e-Zerat scheme launched during Farooq Abdullah’s regime when he was the chief minister of the state. The rally started from Div. Com office passed through busy markets of Chowk Chobutra, Jain Bazar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, Super Bazar, City Chowk, Raghunath Bazar, Hari Market, Indra Chowk, Shalimar Chowk, Parade, Kachi Chawni, Panjtirthi Radio Station and finally culminate at Divisional Commissioner office. Shakti Sharma Vice President Un-employed Agricultural Technocrats Association while addressing the technocrats said that many agricultural technocrats are jobless and some of them have crossed the age bars for seeking employment in the govt. departments as state govt. has done nothing. He further said that no recruitment has been made in the department for the last ten years. With regard to chief minister assurance, he said, “ As far as cm’s assurance is concerned this time we will not take any chance as we were already cheated in 2003 when Zargar the then Agricultural Minister assured the striking agro technocrats to adjust them in govt. departments. But till date, no action has been taken. Now we decided to continue our hunger strike unless our demands are fulfilled. However, Parveen Kumar Bhagat one of the agro technocrat was admitted to GMC today whose condition was stated to be critical. Till now, four agro technocrats including Parveen were hospitalized to GMC. They are Surinder Radotra (President), Vinod Sharma (Joint Secretary) and Shakti Sharma (Vice President).
