| J&K Prisons duty meet on Nov 24, 25 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 19 – J&K Prisons department is holding a duty meet for its officials, who will represent different jails in the State, at Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu on November 24 and 25.
The duty meet is aimed at improving the skills of prison staff, who will be competing with each other in areas like problem solving, first aid, hygiene, healthcare and other professional duties. A trophy will also be awarded to the prison whose team secures the highest marks.
Financial Commissioner, Home, Verghese Samuel will distribute prizes among the winners on November 25 and Director General of Police, Prisons, Dr. Ashok Bhan will preside over the function Senior retired officers of the Prisons department have also been invited to attend the cultural programme and prize distribution function.
The last duty meet was held in the year 2002.
