| Rotary international welcome Saboo, Banergee | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 20: Rotary International organized a welcome seminar for world president, Padma Shri Rotarian, Rajendra K Saboo and world president of Rotary International for 2011-12 Rotarian Kalyan Banerge under the aegis of Distt Governor Rtn. Kuldeep C. Kalra of Rotary Clubs of Jammu. Earlier the dignitaries were invited by the governor NN Vohra for a lunch meeting. The entire proceedings of the programme were conducted by three assistant governors representing the J&K state, Rtn. Mehta Adeep Singh, Rtn. Prem Shanker and Rtn. Vikas Mahajan, Rtn. Mehta Adeep Singh while welcoming the dignitaries said that this scared land of temples has been blessed as never in the history of Rotary international has witnessed the arrival of two world presidents to motivate the fellow Rotarian for serving the society in much committed manner. Earlier in their meeting with the governor it was agreed by the presidents to send the district governor and a team of Rotarians for creating a project for the people in Doda district with in next two months. Saboo while commending the Rotary Eye Hospital at Udhampur appealed to Rotarians of Jammu to do multiple projects in entire state of Jammu and Kashmir as this state needs a lot of humanitarian assistance. Rtn Banergee in his address laid emphasis to serve the remote areas of J&K by establishing literacy and health projects.
