| Coalition launches major projects in different sectors: Slathia | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, NOV 20: The Coalition Government, led by Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah, is committed to provide basic facilities to the people, particularly those living in far-flung and remote area of the State. This was stated by the Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr. Surjit Singh Slathia, while addressing a public meeting at Vijaypur today. The Minister said that the State has got plenty of funds for the development of basic infrastructure in the State and it is the priority of the Government to provide basic amenities to all. He said all the villages of the State would be provided road connectivity, better drinking water facility, educational and health facilities for the equitable development of the State. He said major projects have been launched in the State during the past 10 months of the Government to benefit the people Mr. Slathia asked the concerned officers to work with zeal and dedication and ensure transparency while implementing the Government schemes, cautioning that any kind of laxity would be intolerable. The Minister said that the Government is well aware of the general demands relating to development of their areas and is fully committed to percolate the benefits of all developmental schemes to the people of the constituency. Earlier, the Minister inaugurated lanes and drains constructed by Urban Local Body at a cost of Rs. 9 lakh at Vijaypur.
