Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 20: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Raman Bhalla, has underscored the role of private sector in providing jobs to unemployed youth, as there was limited scope for jobs in the public sector.
Speaking at a function here this morning, Mr. Bhalla called upon youth to venture in private sector instead of hankering after white-collar jobs and become job providers instead of job seekers.
Mr. Bhalla said the Government has created an Oversees Employment Corporations to explore job market for the unemployed youth, besides taking various self-employment schemes in the State. He asked the youths to take optimum benefits of self-employment schemes and set up their own income generating units.
The Minister said that the tourism sector is also being expanded keeping in view of its vast job potential. He said that the State is fast emerging as a favourite tourism hub on the world tourism map, adding that efforts are on to tap the ever increasing tourist influx for diverting them to visit tourist destinations both in Jammu and Kashmir.
