| Amway India opens its office at Residency Road | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 20: Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd has opened its new office in Jammu at Residency Road with an announcement tripping the production capacities by end of this year. “Our growing business warrants a larger space in Jammu”, said Bhuvan Kapur, VP North of Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd while inaugurating office here today. The office has a 40-seating training facility, where Amway trainers can train Amway distributors, on the quality aspects of Amway products. Amway has two offices in J&K - One in Jammu and other in Srinagar. There are around 3500 Amway distributors in the state doing business worth Rs 61 lakhs per month at present against Rs 38 lakhs per month last year. Taxes paid by Amway to the state exchequer exceeded over Rs 1.5 crores during the last two and a half years. “Keeping its pace with high growth the company is in the process of tripling its production capacities at its vendor plant at Baddi, in Himachal Pradesh. The expansion is to see an investment of around Rs 55 crores, which is in addition to the Rs 50 crores Amway had invested in 2004-05”, Kapur said.
