| JKNTUF to stage protest rally on Nov 24 | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 20: Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) has decided to stage one day protest rally on November 24 in front of Press Club to force the state government for immediate solution of their demands. Announcing this at a press conference, Mohammed Gafoor Dar, State President of the Front demanded enhancement of wages of ICD workers and helpers, release of DA and arrears of 6th pay Commission from 2006, HRA at par with Centre Government employees, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, removal of pay anomalies, amendment in SRO 64 for regularization of daily rated workers and others. Dar stressed upon the state government not to delay the genuine issues as per the commitment made by the government from time to time. He warned the government that four lakh state government employees and workers will be compelled to take hard steps if government failed to fulfill their demands at the earliest. The JKTUF has appealed the employees and workers to participate in dharna announced on November 24 outside Press Club. Among others present in the press conference were Babu Husain Malik, Arun Moza, Popinder Singh, Rajinder Singh and Krishan Singh.
