| Bhim demands amendment in Acquisition Act | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 20: Prof Bhim Singh, Chairman of National Panthers Party and Member NIC today, while addressing a huge Kisan rally in front of the Parliament seeking change in acquisition Act of 1894 to save farmers from an open robbery and state loot, expressed hope that the farmers in the country shall bring Samul Kranti that alone shall provide justice and equity to the farmers, working class and other weaker sections of the society. He demanded that the farmers should be exempted from VAT(tax) and the old outdated and colonial law of acquisition of farmers’ land should be amended without any delay so as to allow the farmers to decide if they want to sell their land. The Panthers Chief declared that the farmers from Kashmir to Kanyakumari have stood together and shall stand together to seek justice and equity. The other prominent leaders who also addressed the rally included Digvijay Singh MP and General Secretary Congress, Vasudeva MP and CPM leader and Rishi Pal Ambavta President Bhartia Kisan Union.
