Fake currency worth over Rs 4 lakh recovered

JAMMU, NOV 20: Jammu Police have once again busted a racket of fake currency. A police team from Bus Stand Police Station led by SHO Sazid Parvez , under the supervision of SP North , Randeep Singh apprehended Kabir Ahmed, son of Gul Zaban hailing from Samir Ward No.02 Poonch, from BC Road, Jammu, and recovered fake currency notes of Rs 500 denomination to the tune of Rs 4.05 lakhs. The arrest was made on a tip off, according to the police. A case has been registered through FIR No.64/2009 u./s 489/B-C/RPC at Police Station Bus Stand, Jammu and investigations have been taken up. Some more arrests are likely to be made following the disclosures made by the arrested person, say the police.
