| Academy committed to promotion of languages: Zaffar | | Hindi conference concludes | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 21- The 2-day All India Hindi Writers Conference held at Abhinav Theatre here concluded today. Several noted literary persons including Prof Abdul Bismillah, Akhilesh and Dr.Chanderkanta read out their papers and stories.
Prof. Avdesh Pradhan, Prof. Rattan Lal Shan and Dr. O. P. Dwidhi were in the presidium.
The kahani ghosti session was dominated by Prof. Abdul Bismillah. Interestingly, both the kahani session as well as paper reading session remained focused on moral values and their importance in fast changing society.
Those, who read out their papers on the concluding day included Dr. Satya Pal Shrivats, Dr. Aruna Sharma and Kapil Anirudh.
In the Kanani Ghosti session Prof. Abdul Bismillah, Sh. Akhilesh, Devendra, Dr. Adarsh, Dr. Sanjana Koul and Dr. Chanderkanta narrated their compilations.
In the story session, which began with the story of Yogita Yadav, dwelled on the essence of moral values in society with particular reference to Jammu and Kashmir.
Later, a play ‘Nepathya Mein, Pancham’ was staged. The play begins with the dream of life in independent India and its aftermath with special emphasis on present day India. The play was portrayed on stage by Shiv Mehta.
The meet also witnessed a release of book “Hamara Sayitya” based on Dugar Jivan Shilp va Shaili. The book contains valuable abstracts which have been taken from rare books of the past. One of the main highlights of the event was that it enabled those present in the auditorium to voice their views and counter views on the topics being narrated in the auditorium.
At the valedictory function Secretary Academy Zaffar Iqbal Manhas reiterated Cultural Academy’s commitment to the development of all languages of the state including Hindi which was India’s national language. He assured that the Academy would continue to organize such events in future also. He also presented mementos to the participants of Nepathya Mein, Pancham.
