| Lecturers put Govt on 15-day notice on pending demands | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 21- All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum has strongly condemned the partial decision of the Government of enhancing stipend, remuneration to medicos and alleged that it exposed the nefarious designs of Government against the Plus 2 Cadre.
This was stated by H D Qureshi the State President of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum while addressing media persons here today and served 15 days ultimatum to the Government for conceding the demands of cadre otherwise they would be forced to intensify their movement.
Qureshi said that the partial decision of the Government in favour of a section of Doctors has exposed the unethical, unjustified and biased approach towards the working class in Jammu and Kashmir and termed it an attempt to divide the State employees and to divert their attention from the real issue of change in Pay Band by giving some enhancement in the stipend and remuneration to a section of Doctors in the State.
He elaborated that the Plus 2 component of Education is worst sufferer and it has been damaged badly through SRO 93 of 2009 while implementing 6th Pay Commission Report in Jammu and Kashmir that has not only given a huge financial loss, but degraded the social status of the cadre when the Gazetted and Non- Gazetted establishments are clubbed against the crystal clear laws meant for Gazetted and Non- gazetted Government employees.
Qureshi mentioned that the Plus 2 Cadre is facing the agony of worst type of stagnation and an individual waits for 18-20 long years for their further elevation in absence of any benefit of ‘Running Pattern’ which is being enjoyed by all the sections of Doctors and other counterparts even at Non- Gazetted level.
He regretted that even after the commitments from the higher authorities particularly by A R Rather, Finance Minster for a judicious approach, the decision has come in isolation and most partial manner. He demanded that the Regularization of all Inchange Lecturers and Principals will be made through State Cabinet as ‘One Time Exception’ and change of Pay band in accordance with the recommendation of S L Bhaat committee recommendation.
He announced that the Cadre has decided to serve 15 days ultimatum to the Government for conceding its demands, if it fails the community has no other option except to intensify its struggle across the State for their rights.
D P Dutta, Manmeet Bali, Gureharan Singh, Charan Dass, N S Jamwal, Tarsem Singh and Didar Singh also spoke on the occasion.
