| SJC of JMC gives nod | | Several training centers on anvil for BPL category | |
JAMMU OCT-04 Social Justice Committee (SJC) of Jammu Municipal Corporation has decided to set up a computer-training center, tailoring, cutting, stitching, mechanical and electric centers for the people living below the poverty line.
This decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the Social Justice Standing Committee held under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh Jamwal here today. Deep Kumar Bhardwaj, Rashida Begum, Usha Choudhary, Neelam Kumari, Narsing Dass, Hardeep Singh Mankiotia, besides the Joint Commissioner (A) and Chief Accounts of the Corporation were also present in the meeting.
The meeting decided that revenue section of the Corporation would identify the places for setting up these training centers where necessary training would be imparted to the people living below the poverty line for their upliftment. The trainees, during the course of the training, would be provided tools and equipments. The move is aimed at to improve their economical and social status, the meeting was told.
