| Rs 6.5 Cr shooting range coming up at Nagrota | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 21: An Indoor Shooting Range is coming up at a cost of Rs. 6.50 crore on 70 kanals of land for enthusiastic sports persons of the state at Nagrota.
This was stated by Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Medical Education and Technical Education during his inspection of the site today.
Managing Director JKPCC informed the Minister that with an initial amount of Rs. 50 lakh, the construction work of the project is on and would be speeded up.
The Minister was accompanied by Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr. Davinder Singh Rana, Director General of Youth Services and Sports, Mr. S.A. Leharwal, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Mr. Devedi, Director Youth Services and Sports, Mr. G.M. Dar, Managing Director JKPCC Mr. Tehsin Mustafa, Director Land Management, JDA, Mr. Babu Ram and other concerned officers.
Minister directed executing agency to speed up the work and ensure its completion within stipulated time.
Later, Minister inspected functioning of Youth Hostel Jammu and enquired about the facilities being provided to the sports persons visiting the hostel. He interacted with a group of sportsmen, who have come from different parts of the State and who are staying in the hostel for coaching.
Minister directed Sports authorities to prepare data of students visiting the hostel since last three months and give details of their nutritional facilities and expenditure incurred on it.
He impressed upon Warden concerned to provide adequate bedding and food, clean washroom and other basic requirements so that the health of students is maintained upto the mark and they can play with vigour and enthusiasm.
