| Sham gives ear to constituency people | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 21: Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma has stressed upon the officers to attend people’s problems on priority. He asked them to pay frequent visits of far-flung areas to ascertain the problems and resolve these quickly.
The Minister was addressing the sectoral officers at a public Darbar held at Akhnoor today.
Reiterating the government’s resolve to ensure overall development of the State, the Minister said that affective monitoring of the schemes is mandatory for achieving desired results in stipulated time frame. He said that this year’s annual budget was passed late due to Parliamentary elections and officers have to redouble their efforts to complete the targets by making optimal use of earmarked funds during the current fiscal.
While interacting with various deputations and individuals in the Darbar, the Minister said that government will provide basic amenities in the rural areas adding that efforts are being made to improve the economic conditions of people at large. He said that government has launched various people friendly schemes for the rural masses and they should come forward and take full benefits of these.
Making administration responsive and accessible to the common people, the Minister said that public Darbars will be held frequently at various destinations in Akhnoor constituency and people’s problems solved on-the-spot. He said a monthly meeting is held on 8th of every month at Akhnoor and people can apprise him about their grievances which will be resolved effectively, he added.
