| Bhalla inaugurates new road linking Bishna | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, NOV 21: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Mr. Raman Bhalla has said that the Omer Abdullah led government is committed to develop the far-off areas of the state for which a massive developmental programme stands undertaken. He said that participation of the people in these programmes is being ensured to make timely completion of these schemes possible.
The Minister said this while inaugurating five-kilometer long Kunjwani- Bishnah link road, completed at a cost of Rs. 20 lakh by R&B department.
Chairman Health and Sanitation, JMC Mr. Satesh Sharma and senior officers of R&B accompanied the Minister.
He said that with the completion of these link roads, the people of Bandhurakh, Kunjwani and Bishnah would be benefitted. He said that it was the long pending demand of the people of the area which has been fulfilled. He said that Coalition Government was making all out efforts to connect every nook and corner of the state with nearest district headquarter by providing adequate road connectivity. He said that Government is fully aware of problems being faced by the people and soon the people would witness a sea change in the development scenario of the state.
Earlier, the Minister visited Ambedkar Nagar at Nanak Nagar and inspected the pace of work on 600 meter long road being completed at a cost of Rs. 10 lakh by R&B department. He asked the executing agency to complete it within stipulated time frame by using quality material.
Responding to demands of locals, he asked the R&B department to start the construction work of 200 meter long deep drain at Jogian Mohalla in Kunjwani so that the people do not face problems on this account.
