| Slathia dedicates new building to Ranjri school | | | Early Times Report Jammu Nov 21: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr. S. S. Slathia today visited Mahroom and Ranjhdi villages of Vijaypur in Samba district and took stock of the development works coming up in the area.
At Ranjhdi, the Minister inaugurated additional block of Govt High School, besides distributing appointment orders among two candidates, appointed under RET scheme. Mr. Slathia announced establishment of Primary Health Center at Ranjhdi. He said the matter regarding construction of community hall would be taken up with the concerned Ministery.
At Mahroom , the Minister also announced Rs. 1.05 lakh as relief, out of his constituency development fund, among three families whose houses have been damaged due to rains.
A large number of people met the minister at Ranjhdi and Mahroom villages and apprised him about the problems they face on account of roads, water, power, unemployment, health and education.
Referring to the demands of the people, Mr. Slathia said that all these demands would be mitigated in a phased manner. Regarding unemployment, Mr. Slathia said that unemployment is big challenge before the Government and several measures have been initiated to tackle this problem. He said to explore the employment avenues for educated youth of the State, government has approved setting up of Overseas Employment Corporation to absorb the youth in and outside country.
Regarding provision of old age pension, Mr. Slathia said that all the deserving persons would be brought under this scheme. He asked the concerned officer to identify the deserving persons and process their cases for approval.
