| Traffic violator’s challaned, Rs.2 lakh fine realized | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, NOV 21: Regional Transport Officer, Jammu alongwith Assistant Regional Transport Officers and Motor Vehicle Inspectors checked various types of vehicles on the National Highway-1A from Satwari to Samba, Ghagwal today.
About 200 vehicles were checked, out of which 16 violators were challaned for violation of overloading, route permits and uniforms etc. About 77 violations were compounded on the spot and compound money to the tune of Rs.2 lakh was recovered.
The vehicle operators were warned not to make violations of Motor Vehicle Act and Rules in future. They were advised to adhere to the time table framed.
