| Supreet’s knock helps MGA XI enter semis of T20 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 21: Superb innings of 82 runs off only 61 deliveries by Supreet Pandv today guided Mayank Goswami Academy (MGA) to a fine 28 runs victory over Misriwala Cricket Club (MCC) in the ongoing Winter Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at MA Stadium, here. With today’s win, MGA has made it into the semi-finals stages. Earlier, MCC won the toss and opted to field. Batting first MGA XI set a target of 149 runs for the loss of five wickets, which, in reply, MCC could not chase and bowled out for 120 runs in 18 overs. Supreet Pandav played superb innings of 82 runs while Shubam Khajuria contributed 28-ball 31 runs. Sanjay Koul and Dheeraj shared two wickets each from MCC. Later, chasing the target, MCC could not maintain the required run-rate and, later in an attempt to accelerate the innings, started losing wickets causing early dismissal of the team for 120 runs in 18 overs. Amit Sharma was main scorer with 29 runs while Anku and Deepak contributed 19 runs each. From MGA XI, Hisham Salim was most successful bowler with four wickets while Mussa Salim and Bhaivav Garg shared two each.
