| Terra Naomi to perform in Srinagar for climate | | | Early Times NEW DELHI, NOV 22: Famed American rock and pop artist, Terra Naomi, has announced her two-week-long India tour on her website. Kashmir and Banglore are part of her itinerary. On December 7 she is billed to perform at her climate change concert in Kashmir when the world leaders would be debating the issue of climate change in far away Copenhagen. Known for her provocatively unconventional and bold views, Naomi is a lyricist, rock and pop artist with a reputation of being an avowed practitioner of alternative school of art, poetry, music and singing that is meant to challenge and target dominant trends and their might. She became a You Tube sensation with her “Say it’s possible” thrall that continues to bewitch a whole generation. She says on her website, “I’m touring India for two weeks… will post more dates as they are confirmed! And of course I will post tons of photos and videos and blogs.” Her performance begins in India from November 26. Naomi is slated to croon at the Press Club of India in New Delhi on December 2. Unlike other performances the December 7 Kashmir concert by her has thus far not been specified by her on her website. Yet sources confirm this and a prominent newspaper published from here have already announced her performance in the Kashmir Valley to support grassroots environmental projects in the valley though the venue for the rock and pop sensation in Kashmir is yet to be decided. |
