Jammu, Nov 23: Shiromani Akali Dal National in a statement has expressed gratitude to all the delegates who participated in a convocation held on 15th Nov, 2009 at Jammu.
S. Gurbachan Singh president said that a resolution has been passed to change the party name from Shiromani Akali Dal Jammu Kashmir as Shiromani Akali Dal National (J&K) to maintain its secular and separate identity.
He affirmed that his party is committed to serve the cause of minorities, down trodden and displaced persons of 1947. He also added that the government should fulfill genuine demands of the community at an earliest.
