Court directive on pavement encroachments

Jammu, Nov 23 - In a much publicized case of regulation of Traffic in J&K, Division Bench of J&K High Court Jammu Wing comprising Chief Justice Barin Ghosh and Justice Gh. Husnain Masoodi took serious note on the encroachment and illegal constructions and directed SSP Jammu to obtain reports from each of the SHO of Jammu as regards encroachment and illegal construction of the pavements and footpaths of the city of Jammu and to submit a compilation report along with copies of such reports of Station House officers. These reports be filed at least seven days ahead before the matter is listed in the Court, the Bench directed. JNF
