| GGM SCience college organizes workshop on ‘communal harmony’ | | |

JAMMU, Nov 24: The NSS Unit of GGM Science college, organized workshop on the communal harmony. On the Ist principal of the college the volunteers to observe communal harmony which will strength the bonds of unity between people of various religious and faiths. He appreciated the role of NSS volunteers and their programme officers for organizing such activities. On the occasion poster-making competition and symposium were held in which about 30 volunteers participated.
On day second, volunteers comprising of various groups collected funds from different localities of Jammu and the total amount collected was Rs. 23,000 will be utilized for providing assistance to the children of families affected by communal violence and clashes. The amount will be sent to the National Foundation for communal harmony, New Delhi. Director Colleges Dr. N.D. Wani on the occasion appreciated role of NSS volunteers for doing such great job towards the society. NSS programme officers Dr. R.S. Pathania, Prof. R.K; Sharma and Prof. Vijay Kumar Chandan were present on the occasion, and commanders of the college Rohil Wali, Ashutosh Sharma and senior NSS volunteers Mohd. Arif, Ajay, Arshad, Sumit and Vijay Lakshmi led the contingents of the volunteers to the different localities and collected fund.
