| JKNTUF stages protest demonstration | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 24- Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) today staged one-day protest rally in front of Press Club to force the State Government for immediate solution of their demands. The protesters were raising slogans in support of their demands and appealed the Government to have sympathetic look towards their demands. Mohammed Gafoor Dar, State President of the Front demanded enhancement of wages of ICD workers and helpers from state share, minimum of Rs 1500, release of DA and arrears of 6th Pay Commission from 2006, HRA at par with Centre Government employees, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 yrs, removal of pay anomalies, amendment in SRO 64 for regularization of daily rated workers and others. Dar stressed upon the state government not to delay the genuine issues as per the commitment made by the government from time to time. He warned the government that 4 lakh state government employees and workers will be compelled to take hard steps if Government failed to fulfill their demands at the earliest.
