Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 24- JKNPP Chairman Prof Bhim Singh has accused the government for ignoring the genuine demands of the Agriculture graduates and SRTC employees forcing them to take up the battle to the streets.
Addressing media persons here today, Prof Singh warned the state government of dire consequences if the services of Agriculture Graduates working as daily wagers @ Rs 50 a day were not regularized and demands of SRTC employees were not met by December, 15 and declared that the party workers shall be on the streets from Kupwara to Kathua and Poonch to Kishtiwar.
On the meeting with EU Ambassadors, Prof Singh said that “we have successfully conveyed to the European fraternity that the people of J&K had joined Union of India of their own free will, as the people of the state have been adhered to secularism, democracy and formed part of composite culture since centuries. The Party told the EU Ambassadors that the people of J&K have rejected two- Nation Theory and could not be part of any theocratic or communal state. He said that his party has out rightly rejected the Obama’s CIA old formula to implement DIXON Plan to divide J&K on communal lines and has rejected to accept China as a mediator between India and Pakistan. He said neither USA nor China has any locus standi vis-à-vis J&K.
Prof Singh emphasized that the reorganization of J&K on the basis of cultural, geographical and linguistic identity of each region, was the only resolution of the situation to reduce regional tension. About Pakistan, he said that Pakistan is trespasser as has been held by the resolution of the Parliament in 1995 and must hold referendum both in Gilgit region and POK to determine the aspirations and wishes of the people there.
