| 1156 autorikshaw fare meters calibrated | | |
JAMMU, OCTOBER 05 -The Taximeter unit of Legal Metrology Department has booked 111 auto rickshaw drivers/ owners for violating different provisions of J&K W&M Enforcement Act. 1997. Nearly 1156 auto-rickshaw fare meters were calibrated during the last six months and an amount of Rs. 2,35,414 was collected as stamping fee from the tank lorries and auto-rickshaws during the period.
The department has asked all the auto-rickshaw drivers/ owners to get their fare meters calibrated from the department in time otherwise stern action will be initiated against the defaulters.
