JAMMU, Nov 26: On the fourth day of the ongoing inter-collegiate/ departmental event “Display Your Talent” being held at University of Jammu (JU), poster-making competition was conducted wherein, students of Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) made their presence felt.
IMFA students Farooq Ahmed and Pooja clinched the first and third positions respectively while, Government Medical College (GMC) student Kanwer Iqbal, who won first prize in installation and collage making, had to content with second position this time.
The certificates of merit were awarded in the favour of Shivali Rani (GCW Gandhi Nagar), Mehak Bakshi (GCW Parade) and Vishal Sharma (SPMR College). The themes of the competition were “26/11 Terrorism”, “Female Foeticide” and “Drug Abuse.”
Among the panel of adjudicators were Bhushan Kesar, Sonia Bharti Anand and Suresh Sharma whereas, Dr Sarika Manhas was the teacher incharge of the event.
Earlier, the welcome address was presented by Dean Students Welfare Prof J S Tara. The event was coordinated by Rameshwari Slathia (Secretary, Students Cultural Council), Gagandeep Sharma, Vishal Sharma, Menka Rajput, Vikram Singh, Ashwani, Priyanka, Neha and Manu. |
