| Adbi Kunj, Himalayan Museum observe world heritage week | | |

Jammu, Nov 26: In connection with the observance of world heritage week from November 19 to 25, Adbi Kunj and Himalayan heritage museum jointly held a special heritage related literary cum poetic meet and a heritage photo exhibition held at New Shastri Memorial higher secondary school, Talab Tillo. Thakur Kishen Singh a well known social activist presided over the function while TR Mahajan a prominent educationist was the chief guest.
President Adbi Kunj, Sham Talib in his welcome address highlighted the significance of observing heritage function and said that the Himalayan heritage museum, headed by S. Inder Singh in association with Adbi Kunj has been doing a great job in preserving the items of heritage value in Jammu on their own without much external assistance. Talib Kashmiri on the occasion said that chairman, Himalayan Heritage Museum has voluntary taken upon himself the onerous responsibility of locating the various items of archeological value and preserving them for the posterity. TR Mahajan also expressed the view that the work being done by S. Inder Singh in this behalf is highly commendable. Com. Jaswant Singh, Tayyab Bharti, Raj Kumari Sehgal, Dr. Ram Pal Sharma, Prof. Ved Prakash Gupta, Shabir Hussain Shabir, Daya Ram Daya, Rakesh Kumar Tript and Ayodhya Rani Gamkhwar in their speeches praised Inder Singh and his organization for their extreme dedication and selfless service to preserve ancient art and culture in the state. On this occasion a special heritage related poetic meet was also held. |
