Various organizations pay tributes to 26/11 martyrs

The floral tributes were paid to martyrs of Mumbai terror attack on 1st anniversary of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack here in Jammu. Various organizations organized memorial to pay homage to the martyrs of 26/11.

In a function Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters Association today paid tribute to the martyrs of 26/11 Mumbai Terror attack in a Shardanjali Samroh held here at Shaheedi Samark, Jammu. The association paid tribute to Police officers Hemant Karkare, Vijay Salaskar, Ashok Kamte and innocent who were shot dead in Mumbai terror attack.

Slogans 'hang Mohd Afzal Kasab' echoed across Jammu University campus on Thursday as large number of students took out a silent march to pay homage to victims of Mumbai terror attack.

"We are here to sympathise with the victims of Mumbai terror attack and decided to send across the message to perpetrators of the ghastly terror attack that India is standing united against terrorism and in one voice we are all demanding capital punishment for Ajmal Kasab" a bttery of students who led the march said holding placards and wearing balck badges up their sleeves.

The university students mostly from Law department and other departments moved across the University campus holding placards with slogans 'hang Kasab'.

During the march the students assembled at one place and paid silent tribute to the victims of terror attack. Large number of girl students of Jammu university showed equal enthusiasm and participated in the march with an aim to send clear signal to the handlers of militant groups in Pakistan that when it comes to fighting against the terror the Indian citizens rally behind each other to form a strong human response to the menace of terrorism.Elsewhere several programms were held across the Jammu city where homage was paid to victims of Mumbai terro attack and people took pledge to stand against terrorism.

Romesh Chander Dogra (KAS) Deputy Director CAPD, J&K was the chief guest on the occasion while Sohail Qazm, general secretary, Press Club Jammu and Dinesh Chouhan, senior advocate were guests of honours.

Ved Gandotra, president of the association expressed their hope that the people of world will unite against the biggest menace in the world that is terrorism.

Romesh Chander Dogra while paying tributes to martyrs and others appealed the nationals to remain vigilant against the nefarious designs of anti-national forces.

In another similar occasion the Jammu West Assembly Movement on the First Anniversary of this tragic incident Mumbai attack.

Sunil Dimple President Jammu West Assembly Movement in his tribute said that the Attack on the financial capital of India was an attack on the sovereignty and integrity of the India and urged the President and Prime Minister that terrorists training camp operated in Pakistan should be destroyed. He alleged Pakistan has not taken any serious steps till today against the terrorists and terrorist’s organization involved in the 26/11 Mumbai attack. Large number of youths, students and children paid candle light h tributes to the martyrs and victims of 26/11 Bombay Attack Incident.

Yet in another memorial J&K Pradesh Congress Seva Dal (I) the Sewa Dal activists paid ruich tributes to the 26/11 Martyrs on the first anniversary of 26/11 terror attack.

Balwinder Singh Sambyal in his homage to martyrs said they laid down their lives for the security and integrity of the nation and will be remembered for immortal times. Appealing the UPA government in centre to counter the Pakistan’s move to disintegrate the nation and spread terrorism under proxy war, he said UPA government should deal with Policy of proxy war with stern hands so that terrorism could be wiped out from nation and peace is restored.

A candle lighting programme was organized by NSUI in memory of those who were deceased a year ago on 26/11. While addressing the media persons, Mohit Sharma said that 26\11 attack was an effort to disrupt the unity and fraternity of India. State president NSUI Abdul Rashid Chaudhary said that India is one nation and they will fight against all the enemies of the nation jointly whether it would be terrorism, casteism or factionalism. Others who were present in the programme were state general secretary Arjun Singh Pathania, Ajat Shatru Sharma and Aijaz Mehar, both state vice president, Sajid Malik, Sajjad Ahmed, Sidharth Singh, Snigdha Shekhar, Chetan Misri, Amit Manhas and JU president Rajveer Manhas.
