Balwant Thakur Director Natrang launched the DVD of highly acclaimed Dogri play ‘Ghumayee’ here today in a function held at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu.
The play written & directed by Balwant Thakur himself has already made a mark in the global theatre scene and is being considered as one of the most sought after theatre production of India and is being performed on December 6 at 2.30 pm at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu..
Thakur said that with the growing technological development, we should not shy away from the latest developed means dissemination to have a larger outreach of the work. He expressed hope that every Jammuite would certainly like to have a copy of this play in his/her personal collection.
The artists who participated in this play include Vikrant Sharma as lead player. Anil Tickoo as groom, Tajasvi Sharma as bride, Suresh Kumar as Father, Renu Charma as aunt, Aarushi Thakur as friend, and Sumeet Sharma as uncle. The music of the play is scored by Suraj Singh. The lead female singer of the play is Suganda Mishra the Laughter Challenge fame artist.
