| 80.99 percent result in winter zone 8th class exams | | |

UDHAMPUR, NOV 27: Iqura Rehman of Government Middle School (GMS), Latti secured first position in Middle stand and examinations session -2009 of winter zone of district Udhampur, got 212 marks out of 250, the result of which has been declared today.
Sandeep Singh of GHS Galiote got second position obtaining 202 out of 250 marks, . Pinku Nagh of GHS Galiote and Miss Sushma Devi of GMS Nalli Nikka shared the third position as they both got 198 out of 250 marks respectively. The 4th and 5th positions went in favour of Manju Devi of GMS Mantalai and Shafaquat Hussain of GMS Mang respectively who got 197 and 193 marks out of 250.
In Private Schools category, Aakil Rafique and Nauman Yaseen both students of Brook Lyine Mission School, Chenani, shared first position as they both got 243 marks out of 250 while second and third positions went in favour of Neeraj Anthal and Renu Devi of National High School Chenani and Himalayan High School, Panchari who got 241 and 238 marks out of 250 respectively.
According to the Chief Education Officer, Udhampur, the over all pass percentage was 80.99 percent. As many as 2526 students including 1541 boys and 995 girls appeared in the 8th class examination out of which 2054 were declared successful. The class work in winter zone would start from December 1, 2009. The pass percentage of results of girls was encouraging which exceeded boys. |
