| Cultural Academy remembers Wazir | | |

Doda Nov 27: Cultural Academy Sub-Office Doda organized a programme in which a book was released followed by the Mushaira & Music Programme in memory of Late Wazir Mohammad Wazir, a noted artist of Banihal area at Village Kaskote Banihal.
Wali Mohammad Batt, Aseer Kishtwari Director General Accounts & Treasuries J&K Govt who was the Chief Guest on the occasion offered prayers to the late artist and fixed the head stone.
The Programme started with release of Aabhsar magazine by the Chief Guest while Zahir Banihali & Shabir Hussain read out papers on the life & art of the late artist.
In Mushaira session 15 local poets presented their Kashmiri Ghazals. Prominent among the Poets which was followed by a music programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Aseer Kishtwari recalled his association with Wazir & described him as a talented artist. He thanked the Cultural Academy for organising this commemorative programme which reflects the commitment of the Academy in carrying forward the Cultural movement of the state & highlighting our diverse cultural legacy. Formal vote of thanks were presented by F.A.Faridi,Cultural Officer at the end of the programme.
